dLocal expands e-commerce payments in Southeast Asia

Less than a month after landing new funding from investors, global e-commerce payments provider dLocal is entering three new markets in Southeast Asia.

The dLocal platform that connects global enterprise merchants with consumers in emerging markets is now providing local payment methods in Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Earlier this month, Montevideo, Uruguay-based dLocal obtained $150 million in funding to boost its valuation past $5 billion and bolster its services in Latin America and Africa, while also expanding into the new markets.
