Through an in-depth review and submission process, point-of-sale (POS) providers were asked to highlight their product offering to restaurants of all shapes and sizes. In analyzing the submissions, and taking into special consideration which smart terminal providers offered the most comprehensive and versatile solutions, Clover was given this year’s award. The versatility of the Clover POS platform, facilitated by its Clover App Market, was unmatched by other competitors that TSG judged.
Additionally, talech received second place for its continued support and development of innovative technology to support restaurants of all types during these difficult times.
The restaurant and hospitality industries have undergone substantial changes and operational shifts this year. In an effort to maintain the safety of their staff and patrons, many restaurants have pivoted to support delivery, curb-side pickup, online ordering, and other innovative models.
“This award highlights POS technology providers that supply restaurateurs with the critical survival tools they need to continue to operate their business now, and in the future,” said Mike Strawhecker, President of TSG. “We are excited to honor Clover and talech in TSG’s first ever Restaurant Smart Terminal Provider of the Year award.”
In the ever-changing landscape of restaurants, technology players must be agile, and developer focused, as one shift in consumer behavior can leave merchants and POS companies out to dry. Leaders in the POS industry will provide restaurateurs versatility and will thus offer much more than traditional POS services such as supplier management, lending options, banking services, tax reporting, predictive analytics, and consolidated channel reporting. The central goal is to create an all in one business management solution for all types of restaurants and concepts.
